WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Jim Hagedorn was sworn in for a second term serving the people of Minnesota’s First Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. Upon his swearing in, Rep. Hagedorn issued the following statement:
ROCHESTER, Minn. – This morning, Congressman Jim Hagedorn (MN-01) underwent an elective procedure to remove his kidney and surrounding cancerous tissues at Rochester’s Mayo Clinic.
According to the Congressman’s wife, Jennifer Carnahan, the performing surgeon said the procedure was a success and Jim is resting comfortably.

WASHINGTON – Congressman Jim Hagedorn (MN-01) today announced the appointment of Kris Skrzycki as his new Chief of Staff. Mr. Skrzycki, who most recently served as Chief of Staff at the Office of National Drug Control Policy, will be Rep. Hagedorn’s top adviser and oversee the office’s staff and operations in both Washington and southern Minnesota.
