Carol Stevenson Named as District Director by Representative Hagedorn

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Jim Hagedorn has appointed Carol Stevenson as District Director. As District Director, Stevenson will be responsible for managing the overall district operations and work flow. Duties will include recruiting, hiring, training and managing district staff. She will monitor district issues and conduct outreach. Stevenson will represent Congressman-elect Hagedorn at events across the district.

Stevenson is a resident of the First Congressional District where she has lived for thirty-five years. She has resided in Martin, Nobles and Nicollet counties. During that time, Stevenson has worked in the communities of Trimont, Welcome, Jackson, North Mankato, Mankato and Rochester.

Stevenson’s professional career has been focused in the areas of accounting, finance and human resources. She has worked in various industries including: software, agri-business, banking, manufacturing and retail.  Whether working for a three person start-up company or a $7 billion public company, Stevenson has been a leader and a change agent.  Decades of management experience have given Stevenson the opportunity to work with people from many different backgrounds and from all walks of life. Her most rewarding accomplishments have been helping employees set professional goals and supporting them in the attainment of those goals. She derives great satisfaction from seeing a company succeed in part because of her role in helping the team remain focused and motivated.

Attending Minnesota State University Mankato as a non-traditional student, Carol majored in Corporate Finance and minored in Human Resource Management.

Stevenson is honored to be appointed to the position of District Director for Congressman-Elect Jim Hagedorn, where she will be able to serve the constituents of the district that she calls home.
